Valparaíso Dance Corridor was created in 2018 with the purpose of promoting a contemporary dance programming corridor that allows strengthening and decentralizing the national and international circulation of works created by women from the city of Valparaíso. The project is proposed as a space to receive and share knowledge of cultural management, creation and education for contemporary dance, aimed at choreographers, dancers, agents, event organizers and public and private cultural institutions, allowing to connect the local territory with networks of co-production, creation, circulation and exhibition acquired in fairs, forums, conferences, discussions, programmatic and mediation spaces, allowing to connect different dimensions of interest in the field of dance, mainly enriching the channels of access to culture for the citizenship and the public. This association of creative women, dancers, educators and cultural managers from the city of Valparaíso-Chile, aims to strengthen the production of works, create mediation spaces for contemporary dance and promote regional, national and international circulation, strengthening through co-production permanent links with each territory, its artists, inhabitants and cultural institutions.
